Millie Calloway is returning for another twisted job.

Following the success of “The Housemaid,” which hit theaters in December 2025 and grossed more than $400 million worldwide, Lionsgate has greenlit a sequel titled “The Housemaid's Secret,” based on the second novel in Freida McFadden's bestselling series. Here’s what we know so far.

The sequel, set to be released on December 17, 2027, will see Sydney Sweeney reprising her role as Millie. Michele Morrone will also be returning as Enzo, while Paul Feig will be back to direct and produce.

Meanwhile, Kirsten Dunst will be joining the cast as Wendy Garrick, along with Paul Anthony Kelly, who’ll be portraying her husband, Douglas. Brittany Snow is also on board to play Marybeth, as well as “Off Campus” star Stephen Kalyn as Brock.

In “The Housemaid’s Secret,” Millie is back on the job, this time working for another wealthy couple, Wendy and Douglas Garrick. Wendy is ill and looking to escape her abusive husband. Much like the original film, the plot thickens when Millie begins questioning what she actually knows about her employers.

Amanda Seyfried and Brandon Sklenar, who played Nina and Andrew (now deceased), won’t be returning for the sequel, though Seyfried hinted at a cameo. She told Variety she wants to see how Millie keeps Nina "in her pocket" going forward.

Before the sequel was announced, Sweeney had already expressed her excitement to return to the franchise, having been a fan of the books. "I would be just as happy as everyone else being able to see more Housemaids come to life and getting to explore more of Millie," she had said.
