Gal Gadot Says She Won't Return for a Third 'Wonder Woman'

Four kids, four films, and one clear answer: Gal Gadot says her days as Wonder Woman are over, and she's not holding back on why, from the pull of motherhood to the way DC Studios treated the co-stars who left before her.

Gal Gadot says she won’t be returning for a third "Wonder Woman" film, citing the demands of motherhood as part of the reason.

"For me to go do another Wonder Woman, I am not sure I would at this point in my life with four children and different schools and all of that," Gadot said on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast. "To check out from all of them for such a long period of time, it doesn't work for my life anymore at this point."

Gadot first played Diana Prince a.k.a. Wonder Woman in Zack Snyder's DC Universe in 2016's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" before starring in "Wonder Woman" and reprising the role in "Justice League" and "Wonder Woman 1984."

A third "Wonder Woman” film was set to be spearheaded by director Patty Jenkins until James Gunn and Peter Safran took over DC Studios, derailing plans.

Gadot said she wasn't surprised she was ultimately cut from the DCU. "I saw the way everybody else was handled. The Henry [Cavill] situation was not handled elegantly to say the least. Patty was not handled elegantly," she said on the podcast.

Gadot is currently promoting her new film "The Runner," where she portrays Maia, a lawyer racing to save her abducted son, a role she said was shaped by her own experience as a mother of four.

“I know how I would feel if, god forbid, something happened to my children,” she told E! News. “I'll do anything I can in order to save their lives, just like Maia.”

“The Runner” premiered on Prime Video on September 2.
