Three music legends who shaped Rodrigo's own artistry took the stage with her one by one, turning a single festival night into a full-circle celebration of women in music.

Olivia Rodrigo ended her inaugural Daisy Chain Fields festival on an iconic note by bringing out three of her musical heroes during her headlining set on August 29 in Irvine, California.

Sarah McLachlan, founder of the original Lilith Fair, joined Rodrigo first, performing "Building a Mystery" before McLachlan’s own "Angel," which they dedicated to Dolly Parton, who died August 25.

Next was Alanis Morissette, who stepped in for Karen O, who had to withdraw from the festival due to a family emergency. Rodrigo and Morissette performed "Ironic" together, marking their second collaboration after first sharing a stage in 2022.

Finally, Stevie Nicks joined Rodrigo for a rendition of "Landslide." Nicks later told the crowd Rodrigo reminded her of herself at a younger age, adding that she was in awe of what Rodrigo had managed to pull off.

Daisy Chain Fields was created by Rodrigo as an all-women festival inspired by Lilith Fair. According to the festival's mission statement, the event aims to use music and shared experience as tools for social change, while creating space for dialogue and resources around issues affecting women and girls. The net proceeds of the festival will benefit nonprofit organizations focused on advancing opportunities for women and girls.
The festival's donation total doubled this week after Melinda French Gates announced she would add another $10 million to Rodrigo's original contribution, bringing the total to $20 million.
Rodrigo also performed songs from her catalog, including tracks off her latest album and hits from her earlier releases.
